Visa for Citizens of the European Union

The Presidential Decree of February 8, 2018 (article 3) has made the visa requirements for citizens of the European Union, among others, much easier. Consequently, citizens from these countries are exempted from consular fees for tourist visas to Angola.

Tourist Visa Requirements for Citizens of the European Union:

  1. Proof of hotel reservation or a supporting document of accommodation by a Citizen residing in Angola;
  2. A passport valid for more than 6 months;
  3. A round-trip ticket;
  4. An International Immunization/Vaccination Card;
  5. Proof of means of subsistence.

Citizens may apply for a visa at the Diplomatic and Consular Missions of the Republic of Angola or online, via the official website of the Migration and Foreigners’ Services of Angola.

Following the entry of the online request, the citizen receives an electronic pre-approval, which has to be presented at the border. After confirmation, the visa stamp will be placed into the traveling document.

The Decree establishing the above requirements came into force on March 30, 2018.
