Visa Exemption: Discover the list of 98 countries exempt from tourism visa in Angola

Angola has simplified visa procedures and waived the need for a tourist visa for citizens of 98 countries. This measure is part of the country's strategy to promote and expand tourism.

According to Presidential Decree No. 189/23, of 29 September, the exemption applies exclusively to tourist visas and allows stays of up to 90 days.

Countries Covered by Continent

Africa (14 countries): Algeria, Botswana, Cape Verde, Eswatini, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritius, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Morocco, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.

Asia (11 countries): Saudi Arabia, China, United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Singapore, and Timor-Leste.

Europe (35 countries): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, and Vatican City.

Americas (8 countries): Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Panama, United States of America, and Uruguay.

Oceania (14 countries): Australia, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

Caribbean and Pacific (16 countries): Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Cook Islands, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Kiribati, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Important Notes

The exemption does not apply to other types of visas, such as those for work, study, medical treatment, or residency permits. In such cases, foreign citizens must apply for the relevant visa at Angolan embassies or consulates.
