Diplomatic Relations

Diplomatic relations between Angola and Hungary were formally established on December 23, 1975. Various cooperation agreements exist, prominently including the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program and the Agreement in the field of Higher Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.

A serious campaign is currently underway to realize remaining agreements aimed at structuring bilateral cooperation in areas such as transport, trade, and investment, to name a few.

The Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Angola in Hungary, based in Budapest, has concurrent jurisdiction covering Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia.
