Visit of the Angolan Minister of External Relations

H.E. Georges Chikoti, the Angolan Minister of External Relations came to Hungary on a three-day working visit. On June 21, 2017 he signed an agreement in Budapest with his Hungarian counterpart, H.E. Péter Szíjjártó, on economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.

During his visit, the Angolan Minister of External Relations Georges Chikoti met with Mr. Zsolt Németh, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs’ Committee of the National Assembly, with the Interparliamentary Union’s Hungarian - Sub-Saharan Friendship Group and with Mr. István Lepsényi, Secretary of State for Economic Development and Regulation.

On the same day, both foreign ministers, H.E. Georges Chikoti and H.E. Péter Szíjjártó held a joint press conference where they outlined  their respective governments’ program regarding the realization of the agreement  and stressed the high importance of the cooperation between the two countries.

On June 22, 2017 H.E. Chikoti even received the Angolan Community in Hungary at the Embassy of Angola, where he addressed several issues concerning the current situation in Angola.
