National day 2016

The Angolan Embassy in Budapest has launched a series of activities to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the independence of its country:

The program of the celebrations began on November 10, with a photo exhibition under the motto "United for a Developed Angola". The exhibition took place in the Petőfi Cultural Center of Jászfényszaru.  The mayor of that city, Dr. Márta Czeglédi Győri  welcomed the Angolan delegation led by H. E. Lizeth Pena, Ambassador of Angola in Hungary.

On  November 12  a Thanksgiving Mass was held in the Church of the Capuchins of Buda. The Mass was celebrated by the Reverend Msgr Germano Penemote, First Secretary of the Mission of the Holy See in Hungary. A cocktail was offered by the Ambassador to the participants of the Mass. The same day, the film "Njinga, Queen of Angola", was presented, followed by a cultural night.
