Visit of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade to Angola
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, His Excellency Péter Szijjártó went on a two days official work visit to Angola. Her Excellency Lizeth Nawanga Pena, Head of the Angolan Diplomatic Mission, also participated at the program. During the visit of the Hungarian Minister, the following legal instruments were signed:
- The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Angola and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary concerning the Cooperation in the domain of Farming and Food Industry.
- The Memorandum of Understanding between the Higher Institute of International Relations of the Republic of Angola and the Institute of International Relations and Trade of Hungary.
- Letter of Intent on the Abolition of Visas for Diplomatic and Service Passport.
The Hungarian Minister met the following Angolan Authorities:
- His Excellency Bornito de Sousa Baltazar Diogo, Vice-President of the Republic
- His Excellency Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, President of the National Assembly
- His Excellency Domingos Custódio Vieira Lopes, Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities (Acting Minister of External Relations)
- His Excellency João Baptista Borges, Minister of Energy and Water
- Her Excellency Maria do Rosário Bragança Sambo, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation
- Deputy Josefina Pitra Diakité, President of the Commission of International Relations of the National Assembly
Péter Szijjártó, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade proceeded with the official reopening of the Hungarian Embassy in Angola.
